Meet Tomoko, Greenwell Farms Tour Guide

Greenwell Farms provides farm tours led by expert guides who share the rich history and craft behind producing Greenwell Farms 100% Kona Coffee. Meet Tomoko, she will give you a taste of the farm in a brief interview below.

Hello, I’m one of the Japanese tour guides working at this farm specializing in 100% Kona Coffee.  My name is Tomoko, if you come here, I am happy to show you the farm.

What’s your favorite place on the farm?

I love this spot with our 100-year-old trees. When I think about their history, I feel young and it gives me the power to keep going.

What’s a question you are frequently asked?

People often ask me why Kona Coffee is so expensive. Basically, it is a combination of its rarity (under one percent of the world’s coffee supply) and high labor costs in America and Hawaii.

What’s your favorite Greenwell Farms product?

My favorite coffee here is the Private Reserve.  It comes from a particular section of the farm where I am standing now.  This coffee is perfectly balanced and softly flavorful. I love it!
