[00:00:06] Hello everybody. it’s early October, 2025 and we’re here on the farm and, of course we do our monthly coffee with Tom Greenwell. And, this we, this month we have some questions that were submitted. By our, Instagram followers. And so you ready to answer some, off the wall questions?

[00:00:26] Okay. this first one comes from Gainesville, Florida. You know what they say about Gainesville, right? Farther north you go the further south you get.

[00:00:37] All right. What’s it like waking up every morning on the farm?
[00:00:42] Well, you know, it’s, actually. It’s pretty cool. You know, I get up, I walk onto my porch, talk to my dog. And look at the beautiful sunrise over Mauna Loa.
[00:00:55] Gotcha. It sounds like a country music song.
[00:00:57] And all the coffee trees below. Yeah. Yeah. We should make a song.
[00:01:00] Okay. Sounds good. What do you like to do with your family on a quiet Sunday? You know, just you have a free day, you’re hanging out. What’s the fun things you guys like to do?
[00:01:10] Well, nowadays it’s golf. My, I play with Ben almost every Sunday. He’s been trying to teach me and he’s very frustrated golfer because he’s trying to teach me.
[00:01:23] Teaching family’s tough. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:01:26] And yeah, we have coffee in the morning and Jennifer gets to, you know, have peace and quiet.
[00:01:34] Ah, I see. You guys do family barbecues or Sunday dinners, anything like that?
[00:01:39] Oh yeah.
[00:01:40] Nice.
[00:01:41] We enjoy it. We come home. Jennifer’s usually cooking or we’re gonna start the barbecue or, you know. Yeah. It’s, pretty normal.
[00:01:50] Is there a dish that she makes that you guys like request every once in while We want to eat this, like we’re hungry for it?
[00:01:57] Well, yeah. She has a quite a few really, good dishes. You know, she makes chicken fried deer.
[00:02:05] Chicken fried deer. Wow.
[00:02:07] And it is awesome.
[00:02:09] Sounds amazing.
[00:02:10] She makes the best stir fry. She can cook the best roast beef. Makes good shoyu chicken.
[00:02:20] Nice.
[00:02:20] You know, all the local stuff.
[00:02:22] Very cool. Okay. This one’s coming from the West coast, from, Portland, Oregon. And do you have any fun ways to enjoy coffee besides drinking it? Are there any recipes you utilize coffee in, baking or cooking?
[00:02:37] Well, I’m definitely not a baker. And I cook as not as often as… yeah not very often at all.
[00:02:47] I see.
[00:02:48] So coffee, I mean, I, drink it. And I love it, you know, all different ways.
[00:02:55] Gotcha.
[00:02:55] Primarily, I like a really nice, good French press.
[00:02:59] I see.
[00:02:59] You know.
[00:03:01] So you like that little heavier bodied?
[00:03:03] Yeah.
[00:03:03] Little more oil extracted. Amazing. Alrighty. so the holidays are coming up and people wonder what’s the most interesting Halloween costume you’ve ever worn in your life? Now we’re gonna be very, PC on this one, so I only want the tame ones, but.
[00:03:23] You know, it’s been so long since I wore a costume but…
[00:03:26] I see.
[00:03:28] I really can’t remember. I think it was probably when I was about eight years old and it was Superman.
[00:03:36] Superman, okay. Got you. And he’s back in fashion. surprise.
[00:03:40] Yeah. When I think about it.
[00:03:42] But you probably can’t still fit into your costume.
[00:03:44] Probably not.
[00:03:47] Does the farm do anything during the holidays? Do we celebrate in any way?
[00:03:54] Yeah, we celebrate by harvesting coffee, milling coffee. No, we always have a, a company dinner. And, it’s really cool. Everybody gets together and…
[00:04:07] Christmas party. Yeah?
[00:04:08] Christmas party.
[00:04:09] Yeah.
[00:04:10] Here on the farm.
[00:04:10] Right.
[00:04:11] And, everybody really helps out and it’s just a nice day.
[00:04:18] Santa Claus comes.
[00:04:19] Santa Claus, yeah.
[00:04:20] There’s games, there’s music.
[00:04:21] And the kids all love it and sometimes the employees love it. They get into it. Yeah that’s a fun time. That’s it’s always a good time. Although it is always a busy time, so .
[00:04:35] Right, right.
[00:04:36] So it’s really nice.
[00:04:37] That’s the interesting thing is all those holidays, you know, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, all come during, coffee harvesting.
[00:04:42] Coffee season. Yeah.
[00:04:44] But the trees themselves with the green and the red kind of have a holiday theme to them.
[00:04:49] Yeah.
[00:04:49] So, so this one, actually comes from someone on the inside and they’re wondering if you’re coming out with any new or limited edition coffee flavors this year. Now we talked to the other day about releasing the Gesha. That’s gonna be fun. How about anything else?
[00:05:06] Well, we have a, we have a coconut flavor.
[00:05:09] Got you.
[00:05:10] Right.
[00:05:10] A brand new coconut.
[00:05:10] Yeah and that seems to be very popular.
[00:05:12] OMG my friends. It is so popular. People come here, they smell it, and they just fall in love with it. It seems unbelievable.
[00:05:18] Yeah. I can’t believe it. You know, I mean, how it just turns ’em on.
[00:05:23] Right. You gonna do any other flavored coffees?
[00:05:26] Yeah, we have, Autumn Spice, of course.
[00:05:30] Yeah. That’s the pumpkin spice one.
[00:05:32] And we’re doing the, oh, what’s help me here?
[00:05:37] Salted Caramel.

[00:05:38] Yeah.

[00:05:39] Yeah, that’s gonna be fun.
[00:05:41] We did like a taste test up at the shop some weekends and people really picked out that salted caramel from the line of saying.
